1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and a quick-start guide will have you running with a clean, full dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at fast speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app which lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.
For instance, you can request the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are excellent too and the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only issue is that the robot tends to crash into walls and objects at a high speed. However looking at the cleaning history on the app will tell you precisely what the robot has accomplished, where it's going, and which obstacles he has run into or avoided.
The docking station has an LCD display that shows when maintenance is needed like emptying the debris and cleaning the dirty water tank. It is also able to mix detergent into the tank in a controlled manner, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop can run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, prior to having to recharge or returning to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive and lets you see all the details of the cleaning.

The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power which allows it to remove smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.
This Roborock model, like the other two models I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it get around obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. Its sleek and angular design is attractive and it only has three physical buttons: the power button, which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin fills up automatically.
The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount itself to wash it manually. good robot vacuum 've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can set up and manage these via the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to allow voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering how well it performs otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its smart design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while saving time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the most effective alternatives available. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.

It is also possible to alter suction power, alter modes, look at maps and floor plans, and control mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and inform you when it's finished.

This is a great feature as it stops the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen on other robot mop and vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.
There's a wealth of options available which include the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a variety of preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app, or via buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has a lot of options to customize the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are a lot of features that other robots do not have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles rather than using an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen on market, with a white and metallic design that looks classy and sophisticated. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list but it's not excessively heavy. It feels solid and well-constructed. The mopping system is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice addition.
